We do not provide a “do it yourself”, FHA licensing service. FML will be available to guide you through every step in the application process. You simply go through the steps listed below, and contact us if you have any questions or need any assistance. We will be more than happy to help you. Answering questions and providing assistance is our job and will help you obtain HUD Approval quickly!

 
 
  1. Go to our section and determine whether your company meets (or will meet in the near future) the requirements for the type of HUD, FHA Licensing Approval you are interested in obtaining. Alternatively, you can contact FML; we will be happy to assist you in determining whether your company meets the applicable requirements for HUD Approval under the current FHA Licensing guidelines.
  2. If your company meets the applicable requirements (or will meet them in the near future) you are ready to apply! Go to the section and complete the company information form. In order to complete the form, you will need your company’s federal tax identification number and date of incorporation/ organization and the first name, middle name, last name, and social security number of each officer and of each owner of 25% or more of your company. Simply submit an application request and you will be one big step closer to approval.
  3. After submitting your application request you can either overnight a check to us, or access your account and pay with credit card if you did not pay at the same time as your application submission.
  4. Upon receiving your payment, we will begin producing your application package for FHA licensing immediately. Your application package will be e-mailed to you or delivered to you by overnight courier within 48 hours. Your application package will include the following:

    1. A checklist of all of the supplementary items/documents needed to complete the application package. In the checklist, all of the applicable HUD guidelines have been translated into easy to follow plain English.
    2. A sample of the HUD Adjusted Net Worth page needed for your audited financials as well as copies of the FHA licensing, HUD regulations governing the computation of adjusted net worth and governing which assets are considered acceptable or unacceptable. You simply forward the sample and regulations to the CPA who prepares your audited financials and give them our phone number. FML will work with your CPA to ensure that your audited financials meet FHA, HUD requirements.
    3. A properly completed application form that requires only your signature.
    4. The required Facilities Certification, which tracks the language of the applicable FHA, HUD regulations. You simply print the Certification on your letterhead, sign it, and date it.
    5. The required Sanctions Certification, which tracks the language of the applicable FHA, HUD regulations. You simply print the Certification on your letterhead, sign it, and date it.
    6. The required Quality Control Plan that meets all of the requirements of the applicable FHA, HUD regulations. Numerous companies have utilized our Quality Control Plan and have obtained FHA, HUD approval with our assistance. You simply print the Quality Control Plan on your letterhead. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance with the plan.
  5. After signing and dating the application form and other documents in the application package and after compiling all of the additional items/documents detailed in your checklist (with our assistance), you will overnight the application package to FML for review. We will review the application package, correct any errors, and work with you to correct any insufficiencies in the checklist items you have provided.
  6. After we determine that your application package complete and will meet all FHA, HUD requirements, our next step will depend on whether you are applying for a Loan Correspondent Approval or a Non-Supervised Mortgagee Approval.

    1. Loan Correspondent Applicants: We will forward your application package to your Sponsoring Lender for review. We will work with your Sponsoring Lender to push your application package through the Sponsoring Lender review process. After your Sponsoring Lender submits your application package to HUD for approval, we will work with the HUD Office of Lender Approval to push your application package through the HUD review process until you are  APPROVED!
    2. Non-Supervised Mortgagee Applicants: We will forward your application package directly to HUD. After submitting your application package, we will work with the HUD Office of Lender Approval to push your application package through the HUD Approval review process until you are  APPROVED!
